    Hey gang,

A couple months ago I posted a link to a site I created for the serious searcher.

After some feedback and tweaks, I've relaunched phase 1.

    http://www.whonu.com

whonu.com is not so much a search engine, but a site that automates the process of searching various sources - depending on the type of content you're looking for (Web sites, tips, FAQs, images, audio, video, etc.).

Here are a few sample seearches:

    http://www.whonu.com/image_results.php?q=superman
    http://www.whonu.com/discovery_results.php?q=wedding
    http://www.whonu.com/video_results.php?q=funny

I'll be expanding whonu.com's abilities and features in the coming months with some really unique features (phases 2 and 3), and your feedback is important.

I want this to be a searcher's dream site - tell me what you want so I can make it so.

I'd love to hear your feedback:
    feedback@whonu.com

    Thanks!

    Derek Franklin

looks like shit, stretch your header 100% add some body strech, and lose the boxes framing the ads. just my .02 it is good and useful, but too google dependant, start your own botsearch (aint hard nowadays) and your own marketing. Could be a nice thing! good job on the effort, you got a ways to go though.

    Thanks for the great feedback!

There's much more I plan to do with whonu.com - one step at a time. :)

The main goal is to exploit the massive search power that people have online, but don't know it.

I'm not into indexing the Web, there are a ton of great search engines out there that already do that. I want to expose the untapped features of exisiting search engines, and get people out of this mindset that "Google fits all" (it's good, but not for everything - by far).

There's more to be done...I got to get back to the laboratory.

Well ive looked in firefox and the whole thing is to the left, so there is a big space to the right - is it meant to look like that?

I like the look and feel of the front page though.

I saw something similar a few days ago, your is a simpler design but basically the same thing. A page where you can search all the major search engines. It's a good concept.

Neat idea and will be checking back to see what other features you're adding. I've put a link to whonu.com for whatever keywords visitors search for at GoLexa.com .....Good Luck with your project.

    Hey Ed,

    Thank you! :)

GoLexa.com is pretty darn cool as well. WOW!

Can I return the favor? Do you have a URL string I can use to send people to GoLexa with a keyword search?

    Thanks again!

Let's try to squeeze all the search-goodness that we can out of these search engines.
