    Hi,
I have been observing google analytics and googel sitemaps. The search hits to my site shown by both are pretty different. What do you think, which one is the right one?

    Thanks

I certainly wouldn''t use site maps for anything but site map submissions and verifying 404 errors hits has got to be analytics or your internal server monitoring.

sitemaps is use for submitting sites in google.. While google analytics is used for tracking sites statistics..

Google sitemaps also has a facility within the google webmaster tools for viewing some statistics I think that's what imphpguru means.

Google analytics are more current. Webmaster tools may not update for weeks.
