    Please note provided fake information is not a good idea.
    If you are at a certain registrar such as Network Solutions, they verify your address in case you forget your email/password. If you aren't able to verify your address because you put a false address, it would be much harder.

    This happened to me in early 2005. Godaddy put the domains on "REGISTRAR-HOLD" status (effectively disabling them) until I updated the WHOIS info & charged a penalty fee.

    I keep my details onmy domains correct, but I get free whois guard on namecheap.com (much better than godaddy IMO)

    Don't enter bogus details :)
    Even if people know your true identity they will not search for you among 6 000 000 000 of people around the world!

    Especialy if you don't sell fake services you realy have nothing to worry about and enter your true information!
