I already bought a .in domain from namecheap because they were advertising they offer free whois protection for every domain bought from them. But then i went to apply the protection only to find out i can't on .in domains.

Help me with some whois hide service that works on .in please.

I "think" it cannot be done! .in domains have registry restrictions which will not allow the registrars to provide whois protection

Why would you want to pay for Privacy anyway? Couldn't you put some random info there and a fake email I'd?

You can always change the WHOIS info after buying the name.

If you buy the name at GoDaddy, and immediately change WHOIS info, there is NO way anybody can get ownership from Archives.

Anyway... i fixed this by transfering the domain to another namecheap account. They have this option called Push, you can use it regardless of the age of the domain. And now whois shows the fake data account.
It's safer this way because if you do anything close to illegal the registrar is forced to give your data even if you have whois protection.
I know godaddy blocks random accounts to ask for ID scans, and if you have a fake account you'll either lose the domains on it or photoshop fake ID, which i wouldn't risk years of prison for. But namecheap is safer.
