Whois Proof or other Whois privacy providers?

    Hi folks,

I am currently opted out of the whois database so that my personal information is hidden from public view. Because I have Google ads on my site, Nominet is going to opt me in because they say the domain is being used for trade/business, etc. (which it is not) but what can I do?

I found Whois Proof and this seems like a very cheap alternative. Does anyone use this service or know of other services?

    Many thanks! :)

It seems that because the domain is .co.uk, Nominet have full control over it and there are no other ways to protect the information.

Renting a PO Box address seems to be my only other alternative - then they can show that.

Whois privacy services are always tied to the registrar that your domain is with (even the one you mentioned earlier only works if your domain is registered with Active-Domain.com). Check with your registrar to see if they offer a similar service. If not, you could either transfer it to one who does or rent a PO Box like you mentioned.
