Hi, just realised that i have not got the WHOIS privacy. Is it worth paying extra to keep info private?

I quite scarily just typed in one of my sites and it gave me name, my adresss and even my phone number!

Should i be worried? Should i get the protection?

    Thanks.

Privacy doesn't cost much, so if you're really paranoid, just get it. Keep in mind most people with domains don't have privacy though, so i wouldn't be TOO worried.

It totally depends on you. There's no potential problem with this but if you're unsure then get the whois privacy. Use a coupon and you'll be able to get it for like $3-$5 for an year.

Name.com provides free whois privacy. If its a legal site I dont think you need to worry that much anyway. :)

Lolage, I see you are in the UK. Is this a dot com or dot co.uk? Nominet (the .co.UK registry) will provide free privacy on personal domains but no privacy on commercial domains.

it depends...do you want any and everybody to know where you live and find your phone number?

do you want everyone to know who is behind your site?

    if not, get privacy

its only 1.99 at godaddy resellers...use my link in my signature (coupon automatically added)
