Fellow IMers, I am need need of some serious help. I have an online store (oscommerce-based) that is completely ready for business. The store has been up and running for a good 2-3 years. Recently, i had built small buffer sites for a few of the main products and I would get a small number of trickled orders every month. But in the last few months, most if not all of those sites were hit by panda, etc and no longer working to bring in traffic. In fact, I have let most of those sites/domains expire.

My question is, how can I generate a good flow of traffic to my online store?

I sell clothing, skateboards and accessories. I have a great selection, and the pricing is pretty competitive. Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you in advance!
    Jim

Brand yourself with blog, social media, forums. Or you can print your website address on a business card, so you can give to friends or potential customers.

    Go for it!

Have you thought about contacting some popular forums and Facebook pages related to your niche and sponsoring them in exchange for promoting your site with banners? You could even offer to give them a percentage of any items bought from their members. :)
