So I was doing my standard checkup on my serp's in MSN, and did a site check in the browser- site:www.dietdirectory.org and have NO idea what the hell that gobbeldy-gook is under my description! Has anyone run into that before? Google shows a correct description, but msn seems to be having some trouble.
that's weird. those crazy characters are in msn's cache of that site as well. i checked 6 of my sites and they all show up correctly and i've never seen that before. I did a search for "Ã…YmoÛ8 þ| ì`ô¡NÅ¡Z²Â÷Æö¡yk ¤" in msn and your site came up. I don't think that's a very popular keyword . Looks like you're not the only one though.
Good find. We should do an SEO contest to rank for the keywords "Ã…YmoÛ8 þ| ì`ô¡NÅ¡Z²Â÷Æö¡yk ¤" on MSN!
Ã…YmoÛ8 þ| ì`ô¡NÅ¡Z²Â÷Æö¡yk ¤ I think that means something in some language.. maybe translation in chinese or something
Strange... but cached pages of all the pages in MSN search for the word "ÅYmoÛ8 " are having these.
I can translate this for you. But first, a riddle: Oft I must strive with wind and wave, Battle them both when under the sea I feel out the bottom, a foreign land. In lying still I am strong in the strife; If I fail in that they are stronger than I, And wrenching me loose, soon put me to rout. They wish to capture what I must keep. I can master them both if my grip holds out, If the rocks bring succor and lend support, Strength in the struggle. Ask me my name!
You spoiler ! I was enjoying that little challenge, until i scrolled down a few posts.. Oh well. Cheers, JL
Sorry about that I think I remembered that one from a middle school exam waaaay back in the day, lol David
this is strange. I did a site search for another .org website and it gives no description at all. site:en.wikipedia.org try this. maybe there's some problem with .org domains and MSN
wikipedia is using the noindex, nofollow in their robots meta tag which is why there is no cache of the page and probably why there is no description
haha.. Just saw the first half of the subject title and had to laugh.. That seems to be the first thing I think every time I check out our SERPS..
LOL! Clearly, yes, that's what it is. Someone at msn decided to take the formation of my categories into consideration when displaying my site description. Deductive reasoning at its best.
