whoa 45 million credit card numbers stolen from US company

    TK Maxx owner hit by card breach
    Hackers have stolen information from at least 45.7 million payment cards used by customers of US retailer TJX, which owns TJ Maxx, and UK outlet TKMaxx

    hope they had to many to use them all

    TJX added that the security breach may also have involved TK Maxx customers in the UK and Ireland.

    it has been hacked since 2002 and they only found out about it 3 months ago, and reported it 2 months ago.
    the effected countries are:
    USA
    UK
    Canada
    Eire
    Porta rico

    thats a very serious problem for the people of countries whose credits card information has been stolen! some right step must be taken for it!

    many cards might have expired, but what about those who have an unexpired date.

    basically money stolen can be traced, but time to look after lot of these thefts would be more crucial.
    this could be good for credit protection and credit card insurance companies, as more credit card users will look for it :p

    This is a worrying story. Security of credit card payments has always concerned me. The bad guys always seem to be one step ahead.
