    Qur'an already speaks about this:

what if it was in English? will it mean then it was only sent to English people?
or all must learn English to know and understand it?

what if it was in French? will it mean then it was only sent to French people?
or that all must learn French to know and understand it?

there are about 300 million Arab Muslims, and there are 1000 million other non-Arab Muslims,

the language was not an obstacle for the billion non-Muslims to know and understand Qur'an.

when being translated from Arabic to non-Arabic language, there is a huge loss, but not in meaning, or in the message that the Qur'an is delivering, else you won't find any non-Arab Muslim, but it was in the miraculous text of the Qur'an, in short, Arabic speech before Qur'an was made of two main types, poetry (metrical speech), and prose (non-metrical speech)

after Qur'an, there been 3 types, the two above, and Qur'an, it was neither poetry, nor prose, and the challenge for the pagan Arabs then, whom were very skillful in speech, was to bring a chapter like it, they did not, nobody did, and nobody will.

when you read a translation of Qur'an, it is not a miraculous text.

you can read more about this topic here:

What Is The Challenge Of The Qur'an With Respect To Arabic Prose & Poetry?

it must be noted though, that Qur'an being revealed in Arabic does not give any privilege to Arabs, as the prophet pbuh said:

The first bible was written in Hebrew.
The second bible was written in Latin.
The third bible was written in Arabic.

This god dude is really funny, you know. Every time he decides to write a bible he picks the language of the dominant culture of the time.

oh wait  Could it be that the people of the dominant culture wrote these stupid books instead of god? .... :p

The first and last testaments go together and compliment each other the old tells about the new and the new fulfills the old. However, those who have tried to do something later and say it was from God seem to try to change things and expect people not to notice. mormons and muslims have a very similar story how an angel came to some high guy and told him all sorts of new things. But I digress, simply this: does one go with or against the other?

99.9% of the world's scientists disagree with your "scientists". So what 5 or 10 or 20 or even 100 persons say does not matter. What the millions say: this is what matters.
But from the Arab-science thread I know already that you don't understand what statistics mean and what is a statistical weight.

I have worked all my life with hundreds of scientists, the minority of which who are religious feel very uncomfortable when I tried to speak with them about it, almost ashamed. I would say, out of hundreds of scientists I know, may 5 are religious I could think of. One is muslim but not really religious. never prayed. just don't eat pork....

Keith L. Moore has already changed his mind, as rebecca pointed out in his embriology thread.

Imad, these are not scientists, these are clowns, like you :)

My favorite scientist in your "Scientists' Comments On The Qur'an" page is
    [IMG]
"professor Armstrong" (with no first name)
    saying:
    And reference [1] is:
All of the "scientists quotes" are for some reason only in reference [1]:
"Extracts from the video This is the Truth by Sheikh Abdul-Majeed A. al-Zindani, Director, Project of Scientific Miracles in the Qur'an and Hadith, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia." L O L

    You're so.... 6th century Imad.

If 1 million said moon is God would you believe them and start worshiping moon?

part of what you said is true, which is 10 or 20 or even 100, and let me add to it, or even millions said does not matter, if you did not check by yourself, this part confirms, what I already mentioned in this thread:

"I know that the two quotes below will not be enough as a proof if you did not check by yourself, I provide them for you as a starting point, in case you are truly looking for an answer, you always need to check for yourself, and not take anybody's word for granted."

tell that to Galileo.. statistics did not save him.. now don't try to twist my words here to find something to divert the topic, statistics are important, but again, if millions said moon is God, does not mean moon is God.

and I feel bored (quote from face-off movie)

    now here it gets exciting..

I read rebecca's post (can you imagine! yeah I read Rebbecca's post, meaning I read a post made by Rebecca lol.. can't believe how silly I became, thanks to you, but anyway..)

she is saying Keith Moore changed his mind..
how did he change his mind? no quoted text, only mentioning:

"has admitted that the embryology in the holy Quran is a repetition of Greek and Indian medicine"

    first he was saying:

to change his mind, according to the above sentence by Rebecca, it should be:

"It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Greek (Galen) or Indians, from God, or Allah, because most of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later"

but this is not important, they even said Qur'an been copied from Bible, bluh.. anybody can say anything, but here we should check as I made an example in my first post here about bees, here we need to check what did Greek say, what did Indian medicine say about this topic, is it the same as in Qur'an so we can say Qur'an took it from them? did they have mistakes? did the Qur'an contain mistakes in this regard? all these are answered in this full, detailed, and well sourced study.

    here is the full study

why don't you have enough courage to be direct, you always imply, are you saying this man does not exist? and Muslims made this up?

if you check, most of the quotes there have this reference [1] which is the video tape that included the interviews with these scientists, what are you trying to imply here too, be direct, nobody is going to bite you.

    1) because the source is not a source. It is ridiculous. "miracles project"....
    2) They (allegedly) said that the quran is great. What is there to comment about?

My point is: they are entitled to have any opinion they want. This is a minority opinion. Can you understand my point?

    My point is:
99.99999% of the scientists of the west think that the quran belongs in the trash.
0.000001% of the scientists of the west think that the quran is great.

Scientists do not believe in the religion of their nation, certainly they can not attribute to the foolish book of the quran where the earth is flat and the disbelievers should be killed any scientific importance. Those who do, are not real scientists but clowns.

This of it like this: they are like a guy who says he's muslim but don't believe that muhamed was a real person. Get what I say?

    Do you understand? something? finally?

    LOL
Imad, video is 6th century. Today we have youtube and DVD.
You and Islam are also 6th century.
So, since the age of the video no serious scientist (but moore who changed his mind) were willing to speak of the glory quran? :)

I might have, if I didn't know already from my own research that moon is not god. But I do know already that the quran is a book of hate and not a scientific book.
But 1 million scientists don't say moon is god, instead, 10 million scientists - who are right in most other things are we both know - say/think that the quran belongs in the trash bin.

The scientists are not saying anything scientific in the quotes. They are just saying that the quran is great. What is there to look?

I know that the earth is round.
The quran says that earth is flat in many occasions.
Here is a very good piece on it: http://islam-watch.org/Logical/Proof-Quran-thinks-Earth-is-Flat.htm

But even worse, the quran is a bully book. Rude and disgusting.
you teach this stuff to your children.

I teach my children this stuff:

I just find it amusing that the quran claims it as the achievements of their political, religious movement.
Most of the writings were taken from hearsay and especially the scientific related parts are mainly from the Samaritan Torah which was well preserved during the Egyptian reign.
There would be much to say about this still, like what are the roots of the Samaritan and so forth. One thing's for sure, the Samaritan Torah complements the creation in genesis and makes it easy to understand.
Watch out for more discussion about this, 2012 and creation discussions. It will be stunning and revealing.

    oh great
I think Sun is not Sun too? Sun is Moon

    that's 1 out of 1 million

and you call yourself PhD? a bee has more logic than you,

but, ok I will go along with you, I will be open for all possibilities,

this means, for each scientific I bring who says Qur'an is great, you should bring 1 million (that's one and 6 zero's on it's right, in case you don't know) Western scientists who say Qur'an belongs in trash (make sure they know what is Qur'an first, so they won't mistakenly think it's Talmud).

I recommend you to educate your child to try and get a phD too, for you: its too late.

well...it is were 1 thousand instead of 1 million, that won't be good?

Imad. Let me be as straight as possible.
Only morons can say that the quran has any science in it.
    Very scientific.

The setting place of the sun? :) oh... that would be in Sweden, no? wait a minute let me look at the globe....

    to summarize the answers :

debunked you have posted several times, you have not answered to the question, but maybe I have missed the post where you have answered, who wrote the Quran

can it be understood like Arabs wrote it ?

I guess you mean , Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

I guess you mean , Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) , right ?

    ---

    Do you know anything , about his ( Muhammed(pbuh) ) illiteracy ?
    ---

So we have here 3 options , right ?

    1. the Arabs
    2. Muhammed (peace be upon him)
    3. God (Allah)

An angel of darkness came and said his name was "Gabriel" or such and told this lunatic warrior some new stories that contradict what God had told men up to this point. Then some of his friends wrote it down the best they could since the lunatic rambled like so many in the forums do. Then he went out and forced people to worship this new found moon-god and killed or enslaved those who didn't follow him.

    The short answer - man.

So you guys tell that Muhammed by himself wrote the Holy Quran . If Muhammed (peace be upon him) was illiterate, how can he write the Holy Quran ? Just one example, how could he write about embryology ?
