here, my opinion does not matter, because I am a Muslim, some will see me as biased, and I know you are looking for unbiased answer, by unbiased answer I also mean that Muslims haters answer also does not matter,

my answer would be: Qur'an is God's word.
their answer would be: Mohammad pbuh hallucinated it, Arabs fabricated or similar answers.

who can give you the best unbiased answer? nobody on these forums in short except: you, by reading the Qur'an if you did not already do so.

but you should know when you read Qur'an in English, you are not actually reading Qur'an, but you are reading a translation of Qur'an to a different language, no matter how good the translator is, he won't do a job that is even close to Qur'an, Qur'an is the work of Allah, while translation is the work of human beings, there is no way to compare both for obvious reasons.

I know that the two quotes below will not be enough as a proof if you did not check by yourself, I provide them for you as a starting point, in case you are truly looking for an answer, you always need to check for yourself, and not take anybody's word for granted.

in his book "The Developing Human. Clinically Oriented Embryology" Prof. Keith L. Moore said:

Dr. Maurice Bucaille who spent years to learn Arabic, said in his book "The Bible, The Quran and Science":

those two scientist did not speak about everything mentioned in Qur'an, but about some individual cases in which it was enough to conclude that provided with the knowledge humanity accumulated at that time, it was impossible for any human being to know these facts, add to them other things, that shows that the accuracy of the Qur'an, is in every word and letter used, example:

Sea is mentioned 32 times in Qur'an, Land is mentioned 13 times:

both sea + land (45) make the surface of Earth, you will find that 32 makes 71.111111111% of 45, and land makes 28.88888889%, it been known later to human beings, that water covers 71.111% of Earth and land covers 28.889%, how did Mohammad pbuh know?

some will tell you, Mohammad pbuh copied it from old scriptures, like Bible, and Torah, you also here need to study both, an example is the talking about honey bee in both bible and Qur'an:

    Bees in Bible:

    Bees in Qur'an:

    source & more about bees

notice how it addressed female bees, not all bees, "truly, in this is a Sign for those who are thinking" so think, use that mind that been given to you, it has a function else than thinking where to spend weekend, or how to make 1 million, and do not blame God later and say he was not convincing ;)

the signs are not limited to these, it will take so many lengthy posts to include them all, but these will be enough to encourage whomever truly wants to know, to read Qur'an and check for herself/himself.

We shall show them Our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the Truth. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things ? [Qur'an 41:53]

First of all, even though the prophet, peace be upon him, did not read or write, it was recorded and written down during his life. He had a dozen or so of those who memorized Quran from him, write it down on various mediums, including animal skins (leather), bark and palm leaves. He then rehearsed it with them over and over even up until his passing away. Three of the actual Qurans printed in the time of the companions of Muhammad, peace be upon him, exist today and they are exactly as we do recite them today.

Second, we are pleased to tell you, the Quran was recorded in the hearts and minds of more than 10,000 men and women while the prophet, was still alive. He rehearsed it over and over with his companions day after day and in its entirety from cover to cover, out loud, every Ramadhan (lunar month of Muslim calendar).

Third, you need not be concerned about the honesty and integrity in narration of those people who preserved the Quran in their hearts. They are each and everyone, well known and the veracity of each and every single one of these people (called companions of the prophet) has been attested to and they were all known for having memorized and related the Quran exactly the same as each other. They totally memorized it just as people do today, from mouth to ear and in the exact manner of recitation. This is in itself, an amazing thing. No other book on earth has ever had such distinction in this area.

Fourth, there is no other book on earth like the Quran. Its style and prose in the Arabic language is unmatched for 14 centuries. The prophecies, predictions, scientific evidences, ease of memorization and ability to comprehend is beyond compare.

Fifth, you safely put your mind to rest on this subject of preservation of the Holy Quran, because of its presence with us even today, throughout the entire world. Today every single living Muslim (over 1 billion) has memorized some portion of the Quran in the original Arabic language that it came in, just as the people memorized it over 1,400 years ago. And amazingly enough, over 9 million men, women and children have the entire Quran in their hearts and can recite it for you from cover to cover.

Allah Himself, has promised to preserve the Quran until the Last Days. And He has.

It is the only book on earth that, if you destroyed every book on earth, we would be able to bring it back exactly as it was, every single letter from cover to cover, by the permission of Allah.

    These are facts.

The Quran of today can be easily checked by Muslims anywhere on the earth. And there can be no doubt in the mind of any Muslim whether or not what is being recited here in India is the same as what is being recited in Arabia or Africa or in the USA for that matter.

You are most welcome to review the facts and consider for yourself. The Quran makes claims within itself to its own authenticity:

    * "This is the Book (Qur'an) wherein there is no doubt."
*"Have not the unbelievers considered that if it were from other than Allah, it would contain many contradictions?"
    * "Allah shall show them the Signs within themselves and on the farthest horizons."
    * "If you are in doubt about it, bring a book like it."

To date, none have been able to produce anything even close to the Quran in beauty, style, meaning and prophecies. The scientific proofs and evidences make the Quran the most talked about book in the intellectual world today.

The Quran was written by Muhammed companion to improve the killer instinct and the warrrior spirit of his soldiers, as is evident from the hate preachings and murderous verses. It is nothing more than a book for warriors. Start to read it from the very beginning and you will read about "diseases" in people's hearts first and foremost, before everything else. A violent book of incitement.

Later, after Mohammed's death, another set of books called hadith (sunnah) was narrated, which is kinda similar to the Christian gospels - making a person to a "prophet" in this case or "son of god" in the latter case, and telling a lot of fairy tales about his life.

These two evolved later to be a new religion, called Islam.

Apart from hate preachings, there is very little things that can be found in the quran. The quran is not a code-of-law. Muslims just don't know how to cope of the extreme vagueness of the text and the countless contradictory verses. The result is that the people who follow this book are very........ confused.
Muslims are educated that the quran is the direct word of god and the hadith is "history".

Sounds like an extremely far fetched conclusion.

I only done a little search and found...

    http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/QURAN/92.htm

    http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/QURAN/99.htm

Encouraging people to be good and give in charity, so isn't that your "hate preaching and murderous verses" theory smashed.......in a couple of seconds?

No offence but it seems like you post first then think later.

How did you find out that the Christian gospels are similar to the hadith???

When one reads the gospels it is like having a light, a good direction in live, but once you start reading the hadith the dark powers of violence immediately take over your mind.
Making the Christian gospels similar to hadith, is like making similar love and hatred.
One of them teaches love your enemies, the other one gives directions who and how to kill.

About the statement "Son of God", that was one of the reasons for Jesus to be crucified which brought nothing good to the jews. You can't kill somebody who God has sent and expect God's blessing, that's why it is believed the jews were scattered all over the world - for killing the messiah who God has sent.
Many people still don't understand the full meaning of the words "Son of God."

The Christian and Muslim bibles are the same as the Jewish ones. They're all corruptions.

what a powerful statement, is it based on a study?

Jesus (pbuh) in Bible: ( of course this is not Jesus pbuh, this is an example of how the Bible does not make sense even to Christians themselves)

    Jesus will kill children:

"Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works." (Revelation 2:22-23)

    Jesus in Qur'an:

they do not look like the same for me!

Moses in Bible: ( again, of course this is not Moses pbuh, this is example of the corruption of Bible)

    Moses in Qur'an:

not the same either, in the first it looks like Moses is a heartless lunatic who killed thousands for almost nothing.

You might want to read Revelations before you quote one verse and try to point things out. It makes you look really foolish.

Really... do you have any idea who the subject of the verse is and who the "children" are? You will be shocked if you actually go and read it. But I know you won't, you can't, you aren't allowed to. You can only copy and paste what someone else wrote.

feel free to add your notes if you have any, better than criticizing me, at the end these are open forums for discussions, haven't you noticed from the so many times you copied and pasted from anti-Islamic sites?

I didn't say read the comments, I said read the Revelations.

Of course I will criticize your copy and pasting because you don't even research what it is you copy. The point you make is foolish because you don't even know what is being talked about. Besides that, Jesus in the Bible is called a Lion and a Lamb for a reason. Just like God is perfect and just, so is the Son.
