    Link

This is one link I found that refers to the fact that he himself states in his book, "Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington," that he proposes changes or innovations to the Constitution including ending the election of U.S. Congressional Senators, scrapping income tax, Congress overriding power over Supreme Court decisions, as well as others.

He's also stated that in Texas, we teach both versions, evolution AND creationism. State education officials denied that because that would violate Edwards v. Aguillard that teaching creationism in public schools violates the Constitution's Establishment Clause. So, technically he didn't state the exact words, "I want to teach creationism," yet he is either mistaken on what is being taught or this is what he would like to happen.

This is that article: 2nd Link

I'm not sure what your point is. I support Ron Paul because Ron Paul speaks the truth. But I'm not going to support a candidate that speaks the truth, by lying about other candidates!

I read your cites. Creationism is NOT taught in Texas public schools. You are citing something Perry said on the campaign trail to a child. Show me legislative steps that Perry took.

You are making the very foolish mistake of believing what a candidate says on the campaign trail.

Look, sunfyre, if you wish, you can cite examples of how Perry took legislative steps to teach creationism in the classroom. Go ahead. Do it.

Perry is Governor of Texas. State governors can introduce changes to the U.S. Constitution (Presidents can't).
So, if you wish, you can cite sources of how Perry took legislative steps to change the U.S. Constitution. Go ahead. Do it.

Show me OFFICIAL legislative steps Perry took and not things he said during a campaign.

How can you on the one hand support Ron Paul, a man who tells the truth about this country, while on the other hand LIE about other candidates?

I'm confused as to why you're defending Rick Perry if you're for Ron Paul. It would seem to make more sense to go after the people that started talking about Perry rather than defend a guy you're not voting for anyway.

Does it really matter what I believe about Perry if I'm for Paul? Isn't it more important to get more support for Paul, rather than find faults in people that want to vote for him? I'll take whoever wants to vote for him, regardless of whether I agree with their ideology or facts or opinions or not. I'd rather just see him voted into office. I personally think Perry is a horrible governor living in Texas myself and seeing some of the underhanded things he's done to get his policies passed that don't affect Texans in a good way and if you can't take care of one state, how can you take care of 50? This comes from, not a Democrat, but from a moderate, middle of the road conservative that just doesn't like his views or his policies for the most part. Regardless of that, I'm going to vote for Ron Paul. We can go on all day about Perry, but that just isn't important anymore. He's making himself look bad with every debate. I'm not worried about it anymore.

Every governor of a large state has shit on his/her face. But I won't let that stink stick to me.

This is my Theory of People in Politics:
The way I see it, if someone wants to run for Governor, Congresshuman, or President, they are going to have to endure tremendous personal attacks in the media, many of them lies. Most people of integrity that are really qualified for these offices are also the type of people that won't subject themselves to that sort of crap. So, the people that end up running are people that can endure the attacks because they have no sense of shame. Many people with no sense of shame do underhanded things.

I'm sure that what Perry did as governor of Texas is no worse that what governors of California, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, etc have done. You won't get a man of integrity in those offices either.

Me, I won't contribute to the lies. It's a futile attempt on my part in the hopes that one day people of integrity will be welcome into politics.

Quite true. And people, who media cant really attack, are simply ignored by it.

Anyone look at Herman Cain's recent TV ad? It's pretty smart - he generated buzz with the smoking and now he's got plenty of attention!

I'm not surprised that the Democrats are pulling a Clarance Thomas on Cain with the alleged sexual harassment. Dems absolutely MUST have the minority vote and will stop at nothing to smear any Conservative minority candidate. Or, as Clarance Thomas famously put it, the democrats are pulling "a high-tech lynching":

Notice Joe Biden with the pitchfork?
