    I would save myself, its every person for themselves and if the others are too lazy to help themselves then they dont deserve the help from someone else. :D

    I think it is an ambiguous situation it is actually depends on the situation you cant just said that OK i'll save my mom and I die. after you die what will happen to your mom? She will keep thinking of you getting stress and die also so what is the point?

    The reason I said I would save my child is based on I know if my parents were faced with the same situation, they would save me(their child). My spouse (wife,husband,significant other) in that situation would save the child also and not me. No child should ever perish before their parents (many do unfortunately) but if you had a say in the matter, you would never allow it to happen.
