No one has mentioned about the great Ronaldo. He is just 3 goals away from becaoming the World Cup all time top scorer and is one goal away from World Cup Brazilian all time top scorer. He is going to break all those records this time.

I saw some footage of him yesterday, first time ever. What an amazing player. Was on a German TV show where they had Pele as a guest in the studio as well.

Ronaldinio is better though. Without hiom they'd just be a 'normal' team.

Brazil can't get their shit together, wont win anything if they continue to do so. Ronaldo is lost somewhere.

England never wins, forget about them. They never have balls to advance anywhere. I am not trying to be mean, but England is just like Russia, fail at the stupidest, easiest games.
    -------------------------------------------
Now, listen, I've seen every single match from the day one when Germany opened the world cup. The teams on my watch list so far are:
Germany - fantastic performance in the first game, great attacks, great goals.
Australia - think of Euro 2002 for a second. Greece won because of their coach strategies. Right now, Australia has #1 coach in the world and 3-1 after loosing 0-1 in first half to Japan proves it! And Japan is not some piece of shit african 1 million populated country, their soccer is major. Australia on other hand is first time in world cup and already kicking ass.

In my opinion international soccer is getting so competitive that even if you have a great squad like Brazil, you wont have much chances anyway. I think that coaches play the biggest role in soccer events like this. Euro2004 proved it, WC2002 proved it for USA, WC1998 proved it for Croatia and hopefuly, WC2006 will prove it for Australia.

    Australia?!? :D
The only teams that have a chance of winning it are Brazil, England, Argentina, Italy and Germany. Australia will have to beat either Brazil or Croatia to get through to the next round. I just can't see it happening.

Ronaldo has been poor for years, I don't know whay anyone was hyping him before the tourament. He'll be dropped within the next two games. They don't exactly need him when they have Ronaldinio, Kaka and Adriano anyway.

England have NEVER 'failed' at an easy game in the world cup. They're slow starters, this is the first world cup for somthing like 15 years that they've won their openening game.
Englend normally go out to a good team, either on penalties as agains Germany in 1990 and European championships in 1996 and 2004, or they're beaten narrowly by a better team as by Brazil in 1992.

Yes a coach makes a big difference, but that's just once that a unexpected team have gone on to win any big tournament in more than 30 years. I don't think you can argue that it's proof that a poor team can or will win it.

blah can see england doing a Greece on the world cup, they'll probably 0-0 their way to the final. They ended up playing 4-5-1 aginst paraguay with crouch up front....thats just sad.

ronaldo is a tub, germany have no defence, france are a joke, italy are meh, missed argentina, holland and portugal matches, czech republic look decent once again, australia were lucky against japan, etc
