Ganguly did not do well in challenger's trophy...he doesn't deserve to be in Indian team. Team for South African tour is announced...Kumble is back, Wasim Jaffer is in....Suresh Raina stays in the team...Lol!!!

Ganguly recently scored a 50 in first class a week ago....

I think, he has the best aggressive mind to tackle probz on the feild.

Dravid seems to be too much of a textbook kinds... Although his battin is exceptional...

    UPDATE:

    Semi finals:

    West Indies Vs. South Africa
    Austrlia Vs. New Zealand

I think the first game could go right down to the wire.
Australia are slight favourites to win the second match. However, NZ does play really well against Australia. The rivalry between the two Antipodean sides means these are always very close affairs. If Shane Bond (NZ) is on fire, anything could happen.

As for the world cup in the Caribbean in 5 months from now, I think Australia will win it, but West Indies also have a chance because they will be playing at home.

As far as statistics are concerned, Jacques Kallis is one of the greatest allrounders there has ever been in the history of the game. However, his bowling does seem to be on the wane (has been for a couple of years now).

I'll back the Aussies to win the only trophy that has eluded them so far:)
Saffas are good, but they have their weak points, like I mentioned before .....

BTW about current team: I would like to say its late to change things drastically. So we have to play world cup with same coach, same captain.Just 2/3 players here and there is ok. But at this time we can't afford to change too many things.

Once again an Australian win and they are into finals. One think i wonder, Greg Chappel is from Australia and he believes that every player should be ready to play at any postion and he is keen on destroying Indian batting by changing batting orders in every game. But I have hardly seen Australians doing any batting order changes. Pointing always comes at 3, Martyn at 4, Clarke at 5 and so on. So if the world champions believes that there should be specialist players for every position, what more is needed to explain it to Chappel.

Anyway New Zealand put up a brave fight and Vetterio put up a superb innings. New Zealand is the most strongest team in the world. They have genuine all rounders batting at No 9, 10. But every cricketing team got some problems except Australia. They lack classy batsmen and consistent performing batsmen. That what put them down most of the time.

I think Final is set - Australia vs South Africa

I agree with you seoindia about batting order. There must be specialised positions. One should be ready to play at any number when situation comes but such situation shouldn't come always.

Point here is that Australia rarely needs such changes in batting order, why do we.

Anyway things are getting very darker for Indian cricket. ICC clearly signelled end on BCCI monopoly stating that it might be the richest cricketing board, but on field one of the most poorest nation. Infact teams like New Zealand and West Indies deserves more respect on the basis of their performance. ICC chief clearly stated it will be the biggest upset if a team like India wins world cup.

Sachin got a big blow, Airtel didnt renewed their annual contract of 4 crores with Sachin as their Brand ambassador.

Punjab Court issues an notice to Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Dhoni as why do they need to appear in an ad for a liquior company. What sort of role models are they? Didnt they get enough money to feed themselves?

BCCI clears now that there will be a fix salary for all no grade and there will be incentives based on performance. So even Romesh Powar can earn more than Virender Sehwag. This signals the end of annual pension of 50 lakhs to GANGULY.

    Oh....Ah...India...Gaya...India..

I wonder when Pepsi will stop airing their stupid and non sense ad.

    Abot fix pay:
Yes Ramesh Powar indeed showed some bright performance. He is out of the squad for no logical reason. Actually no one can touch Harbhajan that is the logical reason.

I think you shouldn't put India in the poll lit until Dravid and Chapell quit. Most idiotic decission to have them at their position.

Gayle put up an excellant show. That man is a real deadly player. He might upset Australians, otherwise i donnt sense any real threats to Australians. One need to say 2 very best teams reached the finals.
