So they lost AOL, but the question now is who will they partner with to take down the Web Monster Google?

This article team b talks about a potential game plan for microsoft. Who will the partner be? Yahoo? Amazon?

Anyone have any ideas? Justifications for there ideas?

Yea . . .like I commented on thirdsquare.com I thought it was going to be Yahoo! before they even posted that, but I thought it might be a little crazy.

I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

Oh please don't let MSN get in bed with Yahoo! This will lead us down the path that the major oil companies have gone. All of him have merged into a handful of super-duper oil companies, and have raised prices through the roof.

Aks Jeeves might be an option, they have some great engineers working there, but not the marketing budget Microsoft has. those two combined could try to attack the #1 and #2 positions of google and yahoo

Do Microsoft need to join with anyone else? Surely they're big enough on their own?

A partnership with any top 500 site would tremendously help MSN. Amazon has A9 and Alexa but I see some improvements that microsoft could make in their search technology.

I'm really surpsied MSN isn't taking on forum sites.

Webmaster-Talk shares its adsense revenue with its members. I think this is a great way to make money and get more good posts.

MSN could hit up sites like NEOWIN and OSNN.

MSN, can partner with smaller Search Engines, there are too many to count. Since the Search Biz is highly profitable a lot of companies have picked up crumbs of hte market and making a killing.

When MSN leaves Yahoo's Search Marketing, it will cause yahoo to lose millions in revenue yearly. So to compensate they will partner with lesser known search companies.
