Hillary will run, but she wont win.

People like me will be out there pointing out the "Im glad Bill and I have good health insurance" and the "wealthy people like us shouldnt get tax breaks" comments. :p

The Democrats are in trouble because everyone from that party sucks. The Republicans are in trouble... well because everyone in that party sucks too.

I long for the day when a good solid third party candidate actually has a chance.

I agree. The two major parties hold too much power and fight to keep any others out of the arena.

It is at least healthier if the balance of power swings back and forth, so I would be in favor of a Democrat in the next election. It is quite possible that as problems become more apparent, the people in power will be forced to make concessions to the lower and middle class in order to prevent the masses from getting cranky. I would expect a Democrat would be more likely to do that.

That is because the money trail doesnt lead there.

So you want the party who wishes to raise taxes and keep blowing social security?

The thing about Hillary is that she can't win. As popular as Clinton was when he was in office, his popularity has largely been marginalized - and it wouldn't necessarily have automatically migrated to Hillary just because they are married.

She hasn't been exceptional as a NY congresswoman and has only gotten national attention for a few petty issues - like when she demanded congressional hearings on Video Game pornography. Running for President will bring up infidelity issues - and the fact that she either hid them from the public to further her husbands political career or that she was so oblivious to them that it took a congressional hearing for her to realize what was going on - neither of which are presidential qualities. And then there's the fact that she's a woman. There are still large segments of the US society that will base their votes simply based on sex. In order for her to overcome that she would have to be wildly popular and she simply isn't. I think she has a better shot than anybody has so far, but not a realistic shot. She won't run because she can't win. Not in 2008 at least. She could probably win the democratic ticket - with a lot of hard work, but not the presidency. Unless Laura Bush runs, in which case I would be glued to the TV for the entire campaign.

I used to own NewtGingrich.com and let it drop. If he becomes Prez, I'll have to shoot myself.

I remember during the 2004 election for governor here in Florida, someone had registered janetreno.com (maybe it was 2002 I forget). And it simply 301'd to reno's real website forever so most people thought it was hers (even the news media). One day, the guy made janetreno.com into an anti-reno site with stuff all about Waco and elian gonzalez and forever the site got more traffic than reno's own campaign site. That was kinda funny.
