Who will be the next UK Prime Minister?

Will Labour continue in power, or is it time for a change with the Conservatives? Will Gordon Brown subsume power, or will someone else beat him to the post?

I believe Gordon Brown will be the next by default when Tony steps down but probably not for long since some of his policies have had a detrimental affect on so significant a number of people.

hmmm, its quite a difficult question, they are all politicians so by nature they are most likely to say anything they want just to get elected and then do the exact opposite, so it is quite hard to judge!

Personally I think it might be time for a change with the conservatives. I think Tony Blair will either leave too early without cleaning up some of the mess he has made, for example the Iraqi war has created a lot of problems for the government and so if he doesnt fix that before he leaves, then Gordon Brown, will be blamed for that and voted out, of course if he hangs around too late to fix the problems he has created, he is going to end up not giving Gordon Brown enough time to make himself seen and heard. Personally I don't particularly object to Tony Blair, just know a lot of people that do.

Also, I kind of hope the conservatives come back to power, mainly because they have a tendency to support the arts more which in my experience is something that has been neglected a bit by the Labour government and it is something I am quite involved in...

Either way, everyone is probably going to complain, but I think it is time to give the conservatives a chance

It's a done deal already, further highlighting the contempt the crooked Labour government hold the electorate in. Gordon Brown - just what we need, another Scotsman running the nation!

I envisage a hung Parliament at the next General Election. Hung Parliaments don't tend to last long, because they haven't got a mandate to govern. There will be a further General Election shortly afterwards which will place the Conservatives (just) back in power.

Gordon Brown within the next 2 weeks - you read it here first :D

Seeing as our Tony will qualify for his extra bonuses (or already has ;) ) so he can go with enough money to buy another flat in Bristol or extend one of his many mortgages where he can write his memoires or go on his lecture tours whilst collecting his ministerial pension.

Yeah matey LOL, I wish he was also called Roy. :)

In fact, thinking about it I reckon Roy "Chubby" Brown would make a better PM than the smarmy arrogant fuck Gordon Brown.

By the looks of it Gordon Brown will be leaving the job of Chancellor just as his disastrous decisions he made in the early days of Chancellor are now starting to spring to light.

Even though I am not keen on the Conservative party I cannot see Labour managing to pull off the next election but then again only 61.3% of registered eligible voters turned out in 2k5 which just about shows how much we care for any of these numptys. Around 23% of the UK population actually voted for Labour looking at the stats. And the Bush Poooooooooooodle Blair has not done anything to improve the public's trust since then, but can anyone trust Cameron?

Circa 2k9 is going to be one of the closest elections ever, look at how close it was in 2k5:

In yet another display of contempt for democracy I don't think there'll be any voting part. The Labour hierarchy are going to desperate lengths to avoid competition in the leadership race - so much so that even Bliar himself has come out in public support of his arch rival Brown. No opposition to Brown means no voting and no back stabbing - in theory.
