    Awesome nominee Rob :D

Nokia - The Terminator, in his own mind, is the President of California, but as Gov. and a non-native born resident ... he doesn't qualify.

If you're still needing a few to round out, I'd definitely nominate Harry S. Truman. A straight shooter, no BS, down-to-earth guy. His executive orders to integrate the U.S. gov't workforce and the Armed Forces in 1948 was decades ahead of the civil rights movements - that took fortitude in my book.

I'm not voting for either, but if someone can't come up with a president of the past why not include the 2 most recents?

    Clinton and GWB :D

Ok so it's a joke, but it makes it easy......

I personally can't pick one myself, I give more credit to the original presidents than I do current ones, or presidents of the last 50 years or more..

Clinton is already in it - inspired by the Google ads trying to sell his book
I'm undecided whether to add GWB or not since his presidency is still in progress.

Nah I know how some people here love Clinton, didn't want to be accused of being biased or something by excluding him ;)

Sorry to be repetitive, but in my long lifetime, no question about the greatest — Ronald Reagan. It's hard to assess those you haven't lived to see.

I actually find it easier on the older presidents, most of the truth bad or good that we as citizens did not know about comes after the president is long gone....

The deal he made with Iranian not to release the American hostages until after the election to make sure that he wins the election and then selling American weapon to Iran through Israel as a middle man to finance another failed American policy in form of supporting contra in Nicaragua were stroke of genius.

He was a popular person and personified what American have learned to like as strong type man through the movies but a great president?

Well since William Henry Harrison is likely out as he was only in office a month ...

I'd have to go for Richard Nixon. Although Tricky Dick is too oft remembered for his Watergate problems, he was still a great president in other aspects, namely for having the confidence to seek a relationship with China, Russia and other unpopular nations.

I'm surprised I haven't seen JFK mentioned - his ability to rally the nation into service and civil rights positions have to put him near the top of some lists.

Me too and I think he should be added as well. So I think we have 8 now, about to start the poll looking for 2 more.
The poll is up and anonymous, so those who don't like to openly confess their political beliefs can vote as well.
