I am a very keen follower of the indian subcontinent and its history. The way it unravels - its apparent in my point of view that there were artificial poilitical unrest created most of the times to distabilize the peace of the region. However, I would choose Indira Gandhi as the best leader so far - just because she saved probably 10 million lives back in 1971 when she opened the border for the poor Bangladeshis to take refuge from the vicious hands of Pakistan, who were running a bloodbath at that time. I have seen documentaries I have read testimonials and what Pakistan did in 1971 was purely monstrous and beastial. If Indira Gandhi didnt interfere - probably way more than the 3,000,000 lives would have been lost. So I respect Indira Gandhi - all for humanity.
LMAO / i think eventhough not a politician i love Abdul kalam . he is a man with great vision and mission. I also read his biography . very nice and inspiring. i wish our politician to be like him
even though i m not an indian but i have read several biographies about Mahatma Gandhi ... and no one is comparable to him.
Mahatma Gandhi is remembered because an impact was made, regardless of anyones personal political preferences. The future depends on what we do in the present - Mahatma Gandhi
