Hi guys, I own the domain my-campaign.com and would like to open a political website. I am looking for experienced people. Who is interested in please PM me.
Just an idea for you. You should focus on change and getting the young people out to vote for change. Ron Paul for office 2012, stuff like this, not just getting on the bandwagon of mainstream politics, like dedicate to a specific cause or group. Perhaps try running for office yourself and document your journey through the site. in turn giving other the courage to do something that isn't really that hard to achieve once you've seen what's involved. Unfortunately, even as much as I love that domain and have ideas already spewing out of my brain about where it could go, I have too many other projects already on the go. I wish you all the best in your venture mate.
I actually think you should use that site a completely different way. keep it political but instead address issues often overlooked by society. If you have any knowledge of sociology, look at the government from that mindset, viewing it from the shoes of the president, from congress, from the marginalized, from the social elites. We have enough sites boasting change, reform, voting, etc..but in reality none of that is a problem. Change comes with time, it will come naturally. Voting happens no matter what, as society ages quicker, 'younger' generations will vote. However speak about the two-party system...is it effective to have our government fighting against literal co-workers? In reality, it is 'partyism' in a sense democrats are "racist" (loosely used as an example) against republicans and vise versa. But who the hell defined those parties? Why the hell are they still around. It clearly doesn't work s well as it use to...So maybe try that instead of the typical political BS site we can find via any google search..
That is exactly my problem. I don't have that much knowledge of sociology, but very good computer/websites skills.
sociology itself isn't hard to grasp. I'd say just go to your library, pick up one book..read it and you'll have enough to understand most of society as it is. However you will need to get more information to delve into the political aspect of sociology, such as why do governments behave a certain way, why do citizens not stand up to it (or can they even try?). Do we actually have freedom...that is a core question that is yes and no. Compared to other countries, we have a lot of freedom. Compared to the Constitution, we have lost A LOT of freedoms. Such as our right to disband any corrupted government. Now days that would come in handy, especially with sites such as infowars.com leaking info all the time. Wikileaks is also genius for what it is worth..
