I am planning to setup a Free to use Wi-Fi Network currently in Delhi .

The idea is to use access points and then amplify them with military type boosters over a radius of 60 kms meaning it would not only cover Delhi but also regional noida , gurgaon and many other cities .
There would be multiple APs to support thousands and each AP would be allotting 256kbps to each user .

The cost is phenomenal  but i know how to recover it .

But i wanted to know perhaps if I really establish one then how many of you would be interested in using such a service .

    Wont share that likely .
I would be able to recover the amount in atmost a year and make a profit in next year .

Dont you need a government permission to do such things..as providing internet can lead to many problems!!

BTW i would love to have such kind of service!!

The government doesn't currently has any law governing WiFi 802.11g .
    It would be legal .
I would need to apply a license for being marked as ISP .

In case license is not provided then i might limit it to a local network with features like file sharing , localized community sites , and allowing users to create their own sites which can be accessed only within the network . It would still be a fun .
