Just curious! I see PayPal all over the places, even MoneyBookers, eGold, alertpay etc.. from time to time ... but never seen any major service using Google checkout ... any1 know of any services using them ... by services I mean . affiliate programs, article publishers etc..
Yeah, Google Checkout seems to be one of the less common ones. I looked at it once, and it just seems to be a bit too complicated compared to PayPal and other payment processors. PayPal is very popular among webmasters and internet-newbies alike, whereas it seems (to me at least) that Google Checkout is more commonly used by web-savvy people.
It works well for online retailing and there are some big names using it right now. It isn't made to be a P2P money transfer system like Paypal, so it may never catch on in some areas. Provided that they don't scrap the project, it will most likely migrate more into the services / non-tangible area, but will never be a p2p system.
