but I don't have the tool bar loaded on the fire fox browser" will the widget still work? " any comments are fine I mean really they are"

You should never use Alexa to measure anything. Their stats are incorrupt and should only be taken as a pointing finger..

Yeah, that's my opinion at least. And it's pretty much based on the fact that they require to have the Alexa toolbar installed to measure peoples surfing habits. And correct me if I'm wrong, but Firefox users can't get this toolbar?

i think using alexa is not good idea to use as an seo tool. it's useless

and that alexa button is being loaded with firefox

 

It is interesting to look at Alexa ranking always. But I cannot use it as a serious tool.

 

^ i agree with roksolana. it's interesting to have a somewhat broad/general view of where our site is ranking but it's not the only tool i use to measure traffic and such.

 

Alexa is a sample. It is inaccurate but for large sites, I believe it provides quite an accurate message.

May be, Aaron111, but Alexa successfully rates my site without alexa bar put on. It shows 1.200.000-1.400.000. I don't know if this rating will change if I put alexa toolbar in my site. Any way I am not going to install it. Did you try to compare?

 

Alexa ranking is nice to know. The rate it is fluctuating is making it easy to use.

Yes Aaron, you are right! It's the "root" of all earch engines. Just having that toolbar installed "guarantees" the visit of sites you opened in your bowser by Mr. googlebot.
