I am relatively new to the forums and apparently there are some members here who claim Windows 98 is alive and well. WHERE IN THE **** ARE YOU FROM?

My laptop broke so I'm using an old computer that has Windows 2000. It's ancient but hey... it works.

I still have an old PC running Windows 98, and quite frankly I see no reason to change it over. It could handle Windows 2000, and possibly even Windows XP, but since it works well as is and gives me no trouble I do not see why I should bother with the upgrade. That being said I also have machines running other newer OSs. :)

Likewise. I have it installed on a real old laptop but can't even remember the last time I turned it on.

I am actually running a radius server on windows 98 only for the fact that the version is amazing and there is no update for it that will work in XP. It is still alive and kicking over here :D

People who got introduced to it as their first OS at an old age (like 50+) tend to hold on to that old operating system.

I am still running windows98 in my old pc and I can say that it is working fine with me. I hardly have any problems with it and the viruses hardly strike my windows98 so I just leave it that way..But right now I have another laptop and am using windows vista in it
