Unless there is an editors email address on the category you can't do it anymore. There used to be a forum that you could request an update in but that's been scrapped now
You can ask here, stating the URL and the category to which you submitted. Someone who has access might answer. Emailing is not a good idea, since most editors read, but do not replky to emails.
That's pretty much how it goes! Most people expect to get index by the search engines from being listed in dmoz, but they'd probably make better use of their time submitting to other directories.
Yes they have. Just below every page (if not all, most), you have the name of the editor(s). Just click the name & you will see the way to contact the editor.
Rarely will you receive a response from submitting feedback to an editor inquiring about the status of a submission.
Why, pozzy thanks for your articulate discussion of the shortcomings of the ODP. Impressive stuff buddy. I’m tired of the tens of thousands link farms pretending to be directories who have some relevance to internet search. I am tired of purveyors of crap who insult your intelligence by describing their cyber-vomit as “the world’s smartest web directory†And most of all I’m tired of morons who repeatedly post a few words of trite on forums like this just to get a few more text links to their bogus directories.
Why? Just submit to DMOZ and forget about the listing. It is no different from any other directory out there. Don't loose your hope. If your main intention is to get backlinks, continue doing directory submissions, writing articles, link exchanges, forum postings, etc. OR If your intention to gain high PR, do a reserch and buy a high PR links.
Exactly! Sure, it doesn't hurt to submit to DMOZ, but there is no point in wasting your time with it trying to contact editors. If it takes months just to get accepted, you think you'll receive a response anytime sooner than that? On the other hand, there are many quality directories out there with quick assisstance that will help you if you need to change the status of your listing.
