Here are three I would mention that offer good prices for features:

    Dreamhosts (coupons available)
    Dotster.com (use coupon bargaincat.com for 15% off)
    Hostgator are ok (coupons available)

I'm looking for a host that offers a lot of bandwidth for the buck. HostICan offers 2500 GB for $6.95. Go Daddy is about the same. Those are the best deals I've seen for bandwidth. Does anyone know if they accept proxy sites?

I have read good things about the following companies:

    http://www.asmallorange.com/services/hosting/extreme.php
    http://www.mediatemple.net/webhosting/gs/
    http://www.joyent.com/connector/web-hosting/
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?node=16427261

We use lunarpages for our website. You could search DP or on Webhosting forums such as WHT for positive customer reviews.

I have set mine up with www.streamlinenet.co.uk and they seem pretty good and don't cost an arm and a leg.

Its not easy to choose hosting company, because there always pros and cons and complaints from their customers about service, overselling etc. especially for hosting company with more than 50,000 sites. Visit WHT there are lot of good review, pros and cons of the hosting companies, so you can learn what people say before make decision.
