Another thumbs up for Hostgator. Have been using them for over 2 years, $9.95/mo for a very good package, very few blips. Can't complain.

I've used Bluehost and A Small Orange and like them both equally. I think you can probably get more bandwidth through A Small Orange, though.

Hostgator vs. Site5. Well I went with site5 first and then later switched over to Hostgator. Hostgator is WAY better and has much better support (live chat 24/7). With site5 you have to open up a ticket and wait a few hours.

    Goodluck

I've been using Hostgator for my small company website and I recommend them. Support is good and quick.

    Has anyone used Aptohosting?

I figured big companies would be more reliable as far as no downtime, and have more capabilities.
Also I have noticed that most of the small companies get there hosting from the big ones.

I would say always use big established companies. But they can also be no good of course so pick the right one. Never pick dreamhost for example, or godaddy.

Don't use 1and1 or Godaddy. Dreamhost is not great.

Try Site5.com -- I've used many and they are the best cheap host I've found so far.
