Who says signature links are worthless..!!

great job on this, I completely agree that signature links are very valuable regardless of the niche, they really can help you boost up your SERPS rankings quickly. DP is indexed regularly so google will value the links from here more highly

 

When I started my first blog, the only advertising I did for it was on forums in my sig. I got okay traffic and was found in a search. I think forums a a good way for someone with little cash to start out.

I think DP sig links have some weight but veryyyy little as there is so many outbound links.

 

i think sig links give some boost for your site as traffic(visitors) point of view. so sig links not worthless...

Sig links aren't very influential in Google. They drive natural traffic though and that's as useful as anything Google has to offer.

I beg to differ, the blog I used as an example only has the sig links from 4 sites, and yet can sometimes rank #5 for our city,, above the newspapper which has much more authority

Damn, better work on my posts and get my sig links approved! I have to agree that sig links do help - they don't carry much weight but when you're starting out 'a links a link'.

I compared your tool (shoemoney) to rank checker (using firefox) and results differ quite a bit...

 

I love it when someone does a test on whether some of these methods really do have a value. I am running as fast as I can to do forum posts, blog comments, write articles in the hope that something will stick . For what it is worth I believe sig posts have a value and they do work. Yeah I am in the category of a link is a link! I am not presently in a position of authority on this but I hope to be so in the near future.

 

Signature links have some value for sure, will be interested to see what your site PR comes up at next update. Let us know.
