Who says 1+1 is 2?? I says its zero.
    Check this out

    Let x = 1
Square both sides: x² = 1
    Subtract 1 from both sides: x² - 1 = 0
    Factor as diff. of 2 squares: (x + 1)(x - 1)=0
Divide by (x-1) to both sides.
    Leaves: x + 1 = 0
    Replace x with 1 again.
    1 + 1 = 0

This appears to be the problem, I think: if you start with "x=1" then this means you're dividing by zero?

There's sort of a flaw with your logic. Technically, you cannot divide by zero. What you did there is called fallacy based on division by zero, which makes the assumption that it's possible to divide by zero.

    It's simple:

    1 x 0 = 0
    10 x 0 = 0

    Hence, 1 x 0 = 10 x 0
Divide both sides by zero, 1 = 10.

Though it's impossible, the equation shows that 1 is equal to 10.

Hope I didn't spoil the fun for anyone. :p

    Completely wrong. There's no need for "let x = 1". Because "1 + 1" is already complete. j/k

Who says 2+2 is 4?? I say its zero.
    Check this out

    Let x = 2
Square both sides: x² = 4
    Subtract 1 from both sides: x² - 4 = 0
    Factor as diff. of 2 squares: (x + 2)(x - 2)=0
Divide by (x-2) to both sides.
    Leaves: x + 2 = 0
    Replace x with 2 again.
    2 + 2 = 0
