It appears to me that many of you guys have forgotten Orkut, the other social networking site from Google besides Plus. But I don't know why Google doesn't seem to be passionate about it. There are no buttons to share Orkut posts for example. Indeed, I do wonder why Google even needed to launch another social networking site instead of adding more features to and promoting the one they already had. Whatever be the case, I felt like reminding you of Orkut in case you need another source of network and Social Expression Opportunity (SEO). Orkut is at orkut.com; Then, it might interest you to know the origin of the name: Orkut was created by Orkut Buyyukokten, a Google employee according to my finding.
I think Orkut is dieing slowing. Google just killed Buzz and focusing on moving forward with Google Plus.
Orkut is famous in India and even more popular in some other countries. But the converse in else where Even as i type this the Dictionary editor shows Orkut as a misspelled word There are Wp plugins to share posts in orkut It is logical to think that Orkut might be killed or slowly integrated with Google Plus. What is your opinion on this?
I doubt that Google will promote too many platforms in its fight against Facebook, they are more likely to consolidate for a better chance against the much more established rival.
Nice, do you know that page rank of this domain? I'm looking into it now and I do remember taking a quick look at this site in the past
I do remember Orkut. Orkut isn't a very appealing name and I think that is why they decided to build Google Plus instead. Although I have to say, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Friendster are still better names than Google Plus or Orkut.
I really thinking over ,what made Facebook win over Google Orkut? And the latest update is, Facebook CEO is richer than Google founders .
The truth is Orkut is very much in existence. What I can't understand is why it's been so moribund. Even Plus has also overtaken it in popularity.
