And where the heck is Eritrea, anyways?:D

I'd like to register a name to the tune of loos.er but can't find the ends of the registrar.

    Can someone help?

I'm pretty sure that one would have already been taken if there was really a way to register .er domain :D

Upon further investigation it appears that the registrar does not allow registering names unrelated to Eritrea. It would be extremely tricky to find one that has good general meaning and related to Eritrea at the same time. Oh, yes, and it's in Africa. :D

Eritrea is a new country which gain indepedence from Etophia in 1991.

The TLD site for it is still not available yet but .er is reserved for the country.

From what I read, the country doesn't has any direct internet connection as yet.

I read that you must be part of that country to register that TLD.

Well, when they find out about it, they will ask you to provide evidence of your address which happened to someone else here. Failing which you will lose your domain names.

I think it is always best in being honest with your dealings, you are signing a contract and by doing so, agreeing to their terms so you really need to comply to prevent any hiccups in the future.
