Digg and Reddit are both great for finding regular news stories. StumbleUpon is mainly for finding random pictures of cats and stuff.
Digg is dead. Posts are not democratically voted on like it should have been in theory, but contracted Digg rings control who goes to the front page, that's why you see the same sites on the home page all the time and uninteresting stories. The real people pretty much went to Reddit. So, if you want real users, go there, and not Digg, which is just link builders and Digg-ring operations. Stumbleupon is probably mostly link builders, very few real people who will stumble across your page and find it interesting. Too much spam.
People do not go there to pass their leisure time man!! They go to digg, stumble upon or Reddit for their online business, more specifically for money. Nothing else!!
Stumbleupon is a way to get more subscribers, quality information to give your readers, and a way to increase traffic to your business fast.
I have accounts on Digg, Stumbleupon and Reddit? Reddit seems to be dead. Digg - so-so. I don't read them. I think, StumbleUpon is the best social network among them and I read it. And also Stumble is good for getting traffic.
all this website is known as social bookmarking site. normally if you like or you want to read it later you bookmark it in your toolbar. digg and other website is quite similar to toolbar. people put there website in digg and all other website so user can find them and share on facebook and other socal networking site. there is big difference between social networks and bookmarking site.
Alot of people actually do read up on these social bookmarking sites. Remember there are billions of people searching the web every single day! Many of them are looking for entertainment and things that truly interests them
Agree, Stumble upon is awesome. Followed by that is Reddit. I love Reddit, because i do not see any manipulation there, it is the same as it was years back, which lures me the most and I see Digg as a advance version of low quality bookmarking websites. If i am gonna rate them, it would be:- Stumble upon Reddit Digg
Stumbleupon is great for stumbling upon some crazy articles and spending time when needed, but I like to use it to source information and article's promote and create back links
Actually there are some people that seeking news and trends on that site and if your post is trending maybe it have a chance to be read.
Each and every country will show importance for some social networking sites. In this way these also may be top in some country....
