lol Aviva Directory should be actually proud of this. One affiliate has dedicated a seperate domain to promote its affiliate ie Aviva Directory Haven't you come across sites like hostgator reviews, hostgator coupons etc when searching in google this is not a QBS ; then almost all sites will come under that QBC cat...
I agree BUT what if it was a bad review? People would be up in arms. Then they would bring up legal reasons for them not to use their name. That's why if the site was directoryreviews.com or something like that then you can review any site you like good or bad and refer or not. If you use another brand name you need permission. (just like rich jerk reviews I think got shut down. But if he had a general name and reviewed him it would be fine.)
Shawn (DP Owner) has one such site Original Domain: winnsims.com Shawn's Domain: http://www.winn-and-sims.com/
Some copyright information or if anyone wants more copyright resources or become a member. www.benedict.com
Nice link popotalk, one I would go for would be http://www.copyright.gov can't argue with the government can we.
Yup and Thanks for that link too. I've been reading some for quite a while now and it seems there are non issues about some copyright posts here in Directories Section. Need to read more of this. Your absolutely right about your posts before.
I actually took a closer look at the website after I had initially posted. It's really not a bad website at all. The owner promotes Aviva as a strong popular directory which it is so this is actually good for Aviva. It is helping to create brand awareness and at the same time create submission reviews for Aviva. I think it's win-win for the website owner and Aviva. The only questionable part of the website is using Aviva in the name but that is really not to big of a deal (to me at least). So in short if anyone wants to do this for my directory go for it
Yip agreed now if we could only get the great "aviva" himself to clue us in then we could settles this thread and find out whats going on thx malcolm
