Who Makes Money From There Site With Out Investing In Marketing

I just want to know who makes a decent amount of income from their website without spending a dime on marketing? And how did you market?

 

Well, I have a few sites that I don't spend a "dime" on marketing them. They do require "time" though.
Blogs need to be updated frequently, so I need to add posts every other day or so. I also write and submit articles which is free but takes up a lot of time. Once you start to see some income, then you can outsource these tasks if you choose to.

 

I make enough to pay my bills and have not spent a cent on advertising in 2 years.
Search engine optimization.

 

I do. I just made something better than what was already out there. Search engines found it, from there, word spread.

100-200 bucks a month ok for you?? that's what I make for now.

 

i had to spend i spend over 2000 on advertis but i made back alll that after i sold it only one of ma site i run ads for now

Like the other posters said unpaid marketing is hardly "free"

You are paying in time rather than cash.

Personally for driving traffic with little or no cost my plan is to:

1.)Write Articles about a problem, then introduce a general solution.

2.) Link those articles to a blog that moves from a general solution to specific (my product)

3.) Link the blog to my sales site.

This drives traffic and slowly converts browsers into buyers. There's of course a lot more to it than this but that's another idea for you.

Start writing 5 article per week. It's not terribly difficult.

What you are forgetting is that SEO, article submission etc. are also some kind of marketing, you are spending some resources (time is a resource as much as money would be) to help promote your product/service/website. Marketing is not just paid advertising

 

Assume that you will spend both time AND money to earn a solid stream of revenue from your sight. If your niche is popular, then pay per click may be only means of ranking for any key words for at least a year. If studied and tweeked properly, paid advertising can result in profits that help you out in the early stages.

I've never spent a dime on advertising and made £3,000 online, i only pay comissions, don't spend on advertising...let others advertise for you

I wish... I have spent quite a bit of money in the last year and am breaking even but my aim is that in a years time I wont have to spend money and will be making more money... we will see...

 

There isn't a free lunch....You need to spend either time or money to make money...period.

Intellectual effort is also part of the equation as a viral idea could take off on its own but those aren't thought up everyday.

If you don't already have a popular company, npot too likely that you'll get rich with out spending first.
