I admit it was my best choice before I moved to XP.

I had nothing but trouble with ME - I found it really unstable and really really slow compared to 98 - I ended up taking it off and putting 98 back on until XP came out.

I ran ME on a compac 700 mhz p3 and I thought it was pretty decent. Funny topic I haven't heard or seen anything regarding this OS in years :)

It's not the same as Win2K.

Yes, I believe WinME to has a handy "random crash generator". That way you were always kept on your toes, trying to finish whatever you were doing before the next crash. Kind of like a game!

Windows ME was, in my opinion, the worst operating system that I have ever had the displeasure of using.

sure, I had to go and help everyone and their cousin when that piece of junk was out....

Shortest living OS in history. LOL

They kept all the bugs of win98 and then added a bunch more, what a great plan - I picture the bald guy from that one movie picking his teeth coming up with the idea. Or was it Bill Gates needing an extra billion?

ME was way to buggy. 98 was much better. Then XP took the place. Vista still in question!

With all these Vista and XP threads I thought we'd start up one for the lowly WinME. Nobody ever defends this gem of an OS.

Look at the poll! Polls don't lie!

WinME has a huge following! ;)

Windows ME sucks. Damn thing auto-selects something after you move your cursor over it.

    Windows 98 > All
