I am so peeved that a scammer ended up with my signature. I would love to talk to somebody that would help me find this guy and harass him! Who knows someone?
Let's say....he tries to change my Paypal bank account information by sending a typed letter with my sig on it? Or maybe try similar things with my banks? Who knows?
im not sure if its possible... i mean authenticating just by a signature? he have to provide at least 2 ids with a picture in it don't you think?
When you change your bank in paypal you need to verify there deposit so your signature doesnt matter. Also they ask for a fax of your driving license, bank statements etc for other stuff not your signature atleast not for me. Same goes for your bank, they ask your password, dob, address and sometimes some other stuff like your overdraft limit theres nothing bad he can do with your signature...
Then what about celebrities whose autographs can be easily had? I don't think the fact that they have access to your signature means anything. If you're truly worried, retain an attorney.
Guys, A lot you all said is true. Just needed a reminder I suppose. Thanks for all your comments. I feel a bit easier about it after some thought. Still a bit peeved though coz I was duped. Hate that!
Oops, does it mean you spend too much time online when you actually immidietly think a signature is something you have at the bottom of your forum posts!? Ps; I love you Jabb..UP THE GUNNERS..only a week to go! Yeehaww.
GEEK! J/k...I was actually talking about myself. I read his posting think Wtf...who cares if someone has stolen your (forum) signature.
I know someone. I could have their legs broken if you want....... Edit: You can have my signature for £4.95 by paypal
Guys. It's not my forum sig. It's my written sig.. You know...the one you use for signing cheques...forms..etc.. But it's all OK now. I have been informed by police, fbi, banks, paypal etcc that they can't do anything with it unless they have other id.
Its too well known that signatures are easy to forge, hence the introduction of chip n pin. paypal will require more information than this. Just to be on the safeside, you could email them telling them about it (paypal that is)
