I know a bit about html and i am working on a site. I want to add a news section to the site that will add content to the page. I want it like a cms. I want it to be in my html design. how can i do that? here is a sight similar to what i'm looking for. http://winnfm.com/news.asp what are they using?
If you want it like CMS, HTML is not enough (you can only edit the contents on your page by edit the HTML source codes of that page and save it). If your web host has HTML editor, you can use that to edit the page and save it (but it isn't like CMS, you still have to login to your webhost account to do that). If you want it CMS, you need to know PHP or ASP and you also need to know SQL. Some free CMS are phpbb, phpnuke, wordpress, ... You can download them, upload them to your host and install them.
that's right only html will not work,you need to have overall knowledge on asp or php. otherwise use some good cms script. well for that you can use joomla.
