Some great info here, have been a browser for a while, but a poster for a day or two.

Great info, and no grief - simple.

I agree, that the DP forum, is a great place to learn new stuff every day.

It's really like getting the news, before the general public, in here :)

DP is a good resource, but the best coach you'll find is yourself. Extensive testing to find what works and just plain experience works the best for me.

HAHAHAHA. Come again? I think what you're trying to say is that testing takes time. Right? Thats just brilliant. And so much for being creative. Maybe we should all just be content and adhere to whats working for us and NOT try to improve our conversion rates by NOT testing various methods.

I don't think his comments were out of line. However, they simply don't pertain to particular "service/search" providers if you will... Hence, if the "The Big Man" is providing your content/back-bone = some know what I'm mean:D, your conversion rates really don't come into play as much as if you were selling a particular product vs. a service. Hence, it's not that hard to set up 50 campaigns with basically all kewords set to "Broad Match" as long as they are somewhat related to your industry... If your 50K in advertising doesn't yeild at least 150k at the end of the month, then you don't know what you are doing, eh?:D

I have no idea why you quoted me? Your replay makes no sense to my previous post. I just give replay to the guy who said that it's easier to learn by yourself, than to learn from a mentor.

    p.s.
Why would you include only broad match when you can include all three matches and have more targeted traffic?
Do you know how much money you will lose if you think that is not that hard to setup 50 campaigns without optimize them first? Have you ever try this?
50k for 150k? WoW. That ROI is awesome, you really know what your doing, eh?:D

Yes..i would agree with most of you guys that Perry Marshall is the man to learn the Adwords..

But i would say that to take the Adwords to the next level, you need to be your own mentor::)

Ehm. Today Perry Marshalls Book will lose you money in Adwords... well maybe not lose you money, but it's far from the whole picture since so many more variables have come into play.. now it's all about relevance, that was just not the case before... before it was more like "math+money".

You need to go onto more and greater things with Google PPC today to make it worthwhile... Setting up GREAT campaigns take longer etc, but if you know it you'll make 10x what you would have when Perry's book came out... (it is pure brilliant, but the last version I read is just outdated compared to the market now...)

Just an opinion. With Quality Score, Bid strategies, ad strategies, google slaps etc.. it's more easy to make money if you are good and easier to lose money if you "suck"...

    Hey Guys,

Very interested in what is being said in this thread..

Got Perry Marshall, etc. Not yet at stage of using
AdWords myself, but really want to master it.

Take the point about trial & error and own experience
as being the best way to learn. But, sometimes its
good to have an 'in' that works.

What's the fastest way to get going?

    Thanks.

DP and trial and error has helped me out a bunch. I can't say I didn't lose any coin during the trial and error stages but like they say "no pain, no gain' ;)

Hey guys, I have an AdWords manual that could help.
It was written by an "AdWords Qualified ...." whatever!
OK, its perhaps not Perry Marshall, but also not the price...

I would be happy to give copies for free to anyone that
wanted it (strictly personal use only). However, for a
review and edit that was well done (the edit), I would
    give PLR rights.

Of course, that is really important, but a BIG subject.
That's what we all really want...

Have a look at the manual and see if it helps..;)
