Roger Federer is my favourite tennis player. He is a model professional with the right attitude and from what i hear is a very grounded individual
A cliche, but Roger Federer is and, from how things look right now, will probably remain the most interesting player to watch right now. I enjoy watching him whether he's playing against a much lower ranked player than him or a Nadal or Djokovic. His moves are so fine-tuned and perfect, he's a true inspiration. While Nadal, Djokovic, Murray all play on the endurance card. Not saying they are not talented, but what separates them from the lowered ranked players is their incredible endurance(which is somewhat suspicious, but that's another story). Have you seen an interesting point in a Nole-Rafa match?! I mean interesting like the ones from the 90's and the best of the Roger Federer era? There is simply no diversity in the points. They both play from baseline and their simple tactic is to outrun the other. While Federer's game is totally different. His most basic strategy is to be rational. To gain points by wasting as minimal energy as possible. And that's why his game is more interesting. He changes rhythm so often. Comes to the net, uses short balls, lobs and whole other tennis tricks he has in his pocket. That's why I love Roger Federer and it'll be too bad when he retires from tennis. By watching the new comers (Bernard Tomic, Milos Raonic, Ryan Harrison, Young..) the future of tennis is uncertain. There is no one capable yet to present better game than the maestro!
