Excellent post! Samething happened to me few onths ago and I did the samething. Yes.. it did the magic.

 

Bad advice Swedal, don't do this next time. Your advice is a SOS advice, not meant for playing. You can end up loosing BIG time if things go wrong.

Well paypal does not intervene in digital goods disputes so one can either let the guy rip you off or not... Your choice. But be careful cause once you file a dispute claiming digital goods - your SOL.

 

Agreed Swedal. But charging as unauthorized isn't a good practice, if one is so much afraid while making a purchase one should either contact the seller before the transaction or pay using a Credit Card, therefore your CC company can chargeback incase of dispute.

Isn't the CC way or contacting the seller before hand better? Also the 7 days waiting period suggestion I gave works 100%.* (*only if there is money or cc added to that paypal account)

Look at that, someone slapped me with negative rep just for asking about DirectoryRate's PageRank. I'm guessing DirectoryRate's owner is, contrary to what he says, pretty darn worried about his PR!

 

When 2 years ago I mounted attack on DirectoryRate owner for being dishonest and incompetent, some Dear Members took his side and I got the same Neg treatment. So, don’t be surprised and follow my example and **** them all.

Ouch, that guy and others sure sunk you deep into the red. But hey, don't worry about it, the rep on DP is like PageRank, it matters to some but most people don't even notice it.
