Who is the original content creator?

I was thinking about SEO and how original content is worth the most in a SEs' point of view....but how does it know which sites' content is the original? If you have a blog and are pinging various sites your post is sent out to all sorts of web pages just after your content is posted. So anything you make that is original is sucked up and duplicated 50 million times and is now unoriginal. How do you protect from this?

The same is with article directories. We write original article and post them to 200 article directories and 70% of them accept that article and interesting thing is they accept that on different times... Do they have a way to know if article is copied or not (we say its copied now, as its on other article directory who published it first -- copyscape will show hits :)).

Any clue why they accept not original articles? (I wrote 10 articles and posted them on ezine and after six months i posted them on other 170 article directories -- I have proof that more than 70% accepted that article.

But don't know -- How and Why they needed copied content!!! ;)
