    did you see the tread:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=2935346
everyone does that, and exactly where is that rule?
I'm afraid of even writing this because I just received another infraction, is this forum becoming a police state?

Hi Paul, 1st you must hire a private investigator to find out who it was that gave you this infraction. I can narrow it down to these people for you:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php

Then, you must some how magically become a moderator at this forum and then you need to stalk the person that gave you an infraction and as soon as they break one of the rules here, you can give them an infraction.

    I hope that helps!

but it is even a polite way of reminding a person that he has to go to his script to approve the link, it is certanly not:
"Submitted mine type posts come under heading of padding"

    what is this?
and then when I posted this post in Freebies, that is where the guilty post was, so I wanted to know if someone knew who the moderator was, most forums have moderators for each section, I got another infraction, this is a joke, why suggestions and feedback is the right place?

because this is feedback...you're saying you think the rule is dumb...

there is no specific mod listed for the freebies forum...which means apparently any mod (or maybe it was an admin) can give infractions in any forum (which is how it should be on a forum)...

read the thread summer gave you...particularly this part...take a gander at the part in red...

Stax_Daniel, allow me to disagree, the thread is about a free link on a site, after I submited my link I went back to the forum and with minium amount of words, thank the person and gave him my link, so that there would be no mistake and the person was informed that a link was waiting to be approved.

Now, shall I go and visit your posts and threads, havent you done the same? is there some one who doesnt do this 10 times a day?!

    TO THE OP:

Dude - an infraction is a mere "pat on the shoulder" to tell you that you did something wrong......relax it will expire :)

I never said I didn't do it (yes i've done it before...)

point is I wouldn't complain about it if I did get an infraction for it...because it IS against the rules...

I'm not trying to be mean or anything...just trying to point out that you did deserve the infraction...

just to be safe next time...if you'd like to thank someone, and give them your link to make sure all goes well...

send them a PM, or post a really long post explaining that you just want to make sure it all goes well :D

i'm not really saying I agree or not...just that I can see why you got the infraction

but the point is that I did not do anything wrong!
and this is what makes me furious.
    I dont like injustice.
I think, now I even suggest that there should be a way to appeal, it does not matter if it one or 10 infractions, I had them before, I never complain, but this one is from an idiot who does not have the courage to come here and say, it was me.

    Thank you all,

    Paul

I'll agree with you on that point...I too think there should be a way to appeal an infraction :)

though i'm sure it would be abused a lot...which might be one of the reasons we can't

you know, from all the time you spent whining about this, there's 99 other things you could have done which will yield benefits.

There is not a way to appeal infractions because they do not matter. Simple as that. Even if a mod made a mistake, you would need 10 infractions to get banned (which is the only time infractions would matter). What are you so worried about?

I'll be happy to take the "blame" for your infraction. Call me an idiot again, if it makes you feel better...
