Who is the Highest Earning Amazon Associate?

Outside of large comparison shopping sites that use Amazon Associates like shopping.yahoo.com and others, who exactly (individual or small company) is the highest earning amazon associate?

Gday Pure,

After much research on the amazon affiliate program I can take an educated stab in the dark here but a non organizational affiliate who knows what they are doing would probably be around $10k a month. It is really also going to depend on what methods of affiliate marketing they use, I guess we could look at different models of product promotion;

a) ppc traffic arbitrage -> to Amazon or product review landing pages
b) Content niches sites with integration of amazon product widgets, text links etc
c) Replica Ecommerce affiliates such as e4e whereby you appear to be an online store.

I know my most profitable months I have had over $60k in products shipped. That's non ppc, natural seo on a mix of content/ecom replica sites.

The most important part I feel with the ecom replica shops whether by utilizing one of the few good amazon scripts or amazons own astores is to add your own custom content related to your products, that and to niche.

Otherwise your like 99% of the other affiliates out there not getting any traffic.

based on the major assocaites i know of with average to good skill earnings of $4-6k a month would be a good average. Someone with great skill could easily be making $20k plus a month. It also goes to say that in 6 months i might not be making this much as its all about replicating, finding new niches, and making more sites.

Amazon really is an unlimited resource for promoting products, because the sheer number of items in their product range, everything you could think of they sell.

Good to hear from some other top earning amazon affiliates in this thread.

 

I still haven't had much luck with amazon's astore program, I have a niche store and yet it still converts poorly (no conversions with thousands of views a month).

I'm looking for a good amazon script, I feel like the astore is too limited and just screams "affiliate store" to visitors.

Any suggestions for a good script or plugin? Free would be preferable.

This is interesting. I had given up on my Amazon affiliate membership a a means of generating revenue, but this post made me rethink that strategy.

I don't know if any of us will know...but the coolest product/widget Amazon has to me is the Unbox..try it out and see if it converts for you.

yeah unbox pay more... the percentage is higher i think its like 10-20%..

 

i tried unbox on a dvd review site, and couldn't get anything, but as for the product recommendations, i am getting some decent click througsh...just no conversions

 

I think Amazon is not interested in small affiliates, so they don't make any steps
to help us. There are probably few only guys who make $10k+ monthly (except huge partners), few dozens who make $1000-10 000 and 99% of all the rest.
I make $100-500/mo and really can't see how to increase that number.
Getting new visitors is useless (as for me) - I doubled visitors amount in last three months, but my $$$ doesn't increase.

 

I'm set to make around $150 this month. Consider I made $120 in 2006 AND 2007 combined, i'm very happy!
