For me it's Lance Armstrong as we know he is true sports men who come from deadly cancer and won Tour De France for 7 time. Other two mens are George Best and Eric Cantona, Manchester United players specially George Best whom most of football fans love.
I think a lot would depend on the sport itself, its hard enough to decide who is the greatest of a certain sport let alone the greatest of all sports
I don't have a overall favourite athleat really, it differs from sport to sport. But here a my list: Football: Zidane Icehockey: Wayne Gretzky Basketball: Micheal Jordan Cyckling: Lance Armstrong Squash: Khan Cross Country Skiing: Bjorn Dhealie Boxing: Mike Tyson Skateboard: Eric Koston Snowboard: Terje Haakonson F1: Schumacher Rally: Collin Mcray Golf: Tiger Woods Skijump: Matti Nykänen Tennis: Agasi And if we consider web development as a sport: Tyler Cruz Those above are people who's set a huge mark on the respective sport they participate in and people who's inspired me when I was younger and still do. - kenny
hey there are many and each person play different sport!! so cricket- sachin, golf - tiger, soccer- ronaldo, wrestling - undertaker,. and it goes on!!
Atheletes can be measured on a variety of things including speed, quickness, endurance, skill, balance, game knowledge, and power. Some of the athletes mentioned participate in sports that are somewhat one dimensional. Lance is great but his sport is largely endurance with power as a secondary element. Schumacher primarily used skill plus knowledge. I watched a video of Sachin and he was good with a bat but that's primarily skill in redirecting a bounced ball. Based on what I have seen over the years, Barry Sanders stands out as one that measures very highly on all measures. I still say wow when I watch a video of Barry Sanders.
the best sportman ever, i thins is Jim Abbott, who he is? maybe not many of you know his name, because he is baseball athelete with disabilities, yes, he doesn't have one hand. still he become baseball athelete, position is a pitcher. Great isn't it?
