I have a few scattered around a few registars. I want to know who is the best one.
Shoudl have privacy setting, should easy to use and transfer friendly. Idealy, shoudl also have market place, so that I can sell my domains quick.

For me it's got to be namecheap.com, there is free whoisguard privacy on new domains (and only $2.88 p.a. afterwards), very easy to use (simple and unclutered) and very transfer friendly. You don't get new windows popping up every click, you don't get pages of ads and service if you just want to renew a name or two and you don't have to keep logging in every 15 minutes.

The only thing I can't comment on is the market place, they have one but imho you'd be better off using a proper service like sedo (or sitepoint, DP etc.). I have used (and still use) other registrars and some are worse than others but everything of mine ends up at namecheap sooner or later and I've had domain names for 10 years now.

Oh and you can get new dot coms for $8.88 (with codes - google it) and transfer dot com/net for $7.99. Works for me :D

IMO, Godaddy is a common choice for webmaster, you can have free push, market place, but domain privacy is not free(quite expensive) :)

I am a big fan of Moniker.com, I also use GoDaddy when they have great sales.

Moniker has a Marketplace, very easy to use interface and good customer service. You get privacy for only $2 I believe.

godaddy is my favorite for domains.

(I have heard horrible things about their hosting and will never use that).

The absolute best that I have found was Name.com . They don't charge you for domain privacy but I'm not sure about their Marketplace. It's worth looking into.

Most of my domains are registered with GoDaddy, I also use name.com and namecheap. what's good about name.com is the free private whois.
