GOdaddy 1and 1 etc think about about copoun codes or user friendly - customer service - should be great - quick response price - i have seen some companies selling domains for really expensive prices
I think these guys are the best registrar: namesilo.com Namecheap isn't bad either so they get my vote since Namesilo is not listed as an option.
Godaddy - Sucks even more than Paypal 1and1 - Father of Godaddy Namcheap - Are Decent. But they have started acting like Godaddy recently. Like Confasticating Domains if something is hosted on the site outside Namecheap and they think it's not appropriate or on someone's complaint. Moniker - The Most Secure Registrar ever seen(along with Fabulous) Most of the people with huge Domain Portfolios like 100,000+ keep their domains at Moniker.
1and1 is horrible, I refuse to use them. I don't trust Godaddy. Moniker, dynadot, name.com, namecheap, and fabulous are all very good
Buying domain name from Hostgator is expensive compare to other companies mentioned in this thread poll. - Dynashox -
Namecheap is amazing, love the support, very clean and easy to use.. moved all my domains to them as well
With godaddy it's an absolute struggle to buy anything - they keep trying to squeeze money out of you. I love namecheap, because it's a simple interface and they don't try to sell you more than you want. They also have a nice facebook/social side to the company.
whoever you choose, dont ever choose register.com, they are the worst in my opinion. They dont send you any domain expiry email but still let it expire and then charge you with $25 as domain reinstation charge unwantedly!
GoDaddy is very good because they have very low prices, but NameCheap is very good because it has a good user interface and is laid out very well... I'm undecided.
I prefer Godaddy because of their coupons. In the last 2 years every single time when I registered or renewed a domain with Godaddy I always used one of their coupon codes. (so i always pay less than $8 for any COM, NET or ORG domain, doesn't matter if it's a new registration, transfer or renewal) Plus basically once every month or so they give a special $1 domain coupon code to use for one domain. (transfer or new domain registration) They also offer VIP service when you have more than 300 domains in your portfolio. You then get a designated account executive specially for you. Allthough not as super as I would have hoped for it to be it's still pretty decent support compared to the normal support. However to drop catch domains I prefer Dynadot because of their API. With Dynadot I can registered a dropped domain the second it expires, with Godaddy on the other hand it takes around 30 seconds just to go through their "marketing" upselling crap to finally get your domain. By that time, if the domain is any close to decent, someone else registered it already.
