I recently bought some ad time on Facebook for a Clickbank product. Not much really, just a $15 daily budget to test the waters. according to my Facebook ad stats, 25 people clicked the ad link today (which I pointed to my hoplink) but NONE of those clicks are showing up on Clickbank's analytics. the facebook product in question isn't even showing up alongside my other article-related clicks. Either Clickbank is hiding my clicks/sales or Facebook is ripping off their advertisers. any suggestions? I will post pictures to prove this deficiency in a few hours when I'm back home.
The new CB analytics are VERY delayed. They will show up by the end of the day. The old analytics were MUCH better.
thanks. yeah, they showed up. 34 hops, 5 order form impressions, no sales... oh well, looks like I need to figure out Facebook marketing some more. anyone had any success off of facebook? adwords banned me before i even ran an ad (see other thread) so i am resorting to possible alternatives. a lot of people click on ads and don't buy... even when I write in the ad that the product is $30. i guess the product holds too much of a fascination value and not enough of a buy-now alert mentality. another question: why would someone click on the order form and not purchase? eh, I hope clickbank isn't being fishy
Make sure that your Ads are highly targeted. Same with your keywords. Make sure that they are buying keywords, and not just browsing keywords. For instance, when someone wants to buy a pair of nikes online, they are probably going to type in "buy nike shoes" rather than "nike shoes." The latter could simply be in research mode and not buying mode like the first keyword. People are just curious. They'll click anything.
Yeah. CB is shaving - your lack of sales is completely because of CB's dishonesty and not your lack of marketing knowledge.
keep your arrogance to yourself. I'm looking for advice, not snappy comments from people over the internet that are in no position to assume my "marketing knowledge". Clickbank has been reported to shave before and my comment was with that in mind. Obviously neither of us know the answer, but I am certainly allowed to hypothesize an explanation based on past experience. your sarcasm just shows your ignorance, though your other posts imply a pretentious demeanor as well. on the other end - thanks for the replies onlinemoniez. I did use very specific keywords that are more "buy" than "browse", but I suppose this is too small of sample size to judge anything significant. cutting down my keywords and getting more specific might work in this Facebook niche, which is a format I'm pretty unfamiliar with. time to try out some different things
Yeah - you got 5 order form impressions, 0 sales and wanted to start blaming Clickbank for your lack of revenue. Nope - no ignorance there at all.
I was asking why someone would possibly view the order form after viewing the price at least twice (once on the ad and once on the landing page) and not purchase the product. I'm not attacking Clickbank, I'm just wondering what mentality consumers have in viewing an order form and not following up on it. an order form just asks for your name and CC information, so I don't know what could have possibly turned them away if their incentive for clicking on it was to purchase the product. what other incentive is there, after all? you don't simply just browse an order form for pure interest. it's a bunch of fields asking you for your name and CC info. I personally find it suspicious whenever someone views an order form and does not follow up... it just doesn't make sense if the ad and landing page have the price in big letters. we obviously all assume Clickbank is 100% truthful but I can't help but wonder what the people behind these impressions are thinking.
Poeple view the order form just to see the price it doesnt mean they gonna buy, sometimes when they do a order form submit they can get rejected cos their is insufficient money in their account. You are a typical newbie with noob complains about CB. You amount of hops are not enough to suggest you are getting ripped off or something is foul. Dude my suggestion to you is to continue building more targetted traffic to your site. Key is customers want to see the price of the product and if they think its reasonable then they may purchase, I do it alot, some are curious visitors but not interested in buying!
