I got your point 200% correct here.

Dude again if your friends request was not filled then you guys would have started ruining paypals that they don't listen to your emails.. now when paypal filled your need again you guys started blaming them and infact paypal is not responsible for it bcz paypal jst did what your friend requested.. isn't it??

Why they bother to judge what is wrong and what is right and then make decision accordingly..

and yes there might be many users in India that don't abuse paypal but that you know sometimes we need to pay for it as a community.. and in reality nothing is happening wrong here.. They just reversed payments which everyone can get back if they are doing genuine business... Isn't it? and for bank transfers I am sure we all will get till the end of this week.

First of all..I dont believe this case is about Paypal saving money from Personal Payments. It is clearly obvious that there is something amiss from higher authorities that is preventing Paypal from carrying on with its normal life. I have seen a lot of my friends accept Personal payments and Paypal deals with it separetly by limiting the account or asking for transaction verification. Paypal is no small junkie organisation that it'd run away with our money leaving behind a Business that runs into Billions. There is absolutely no way that they can do that. Clearly, there are some issue especially with Paypal holding Indian money on Indian soil without a proper banking license that is creating waves in RBI.

Bottom line is blaming Paypal or RBI would get us nowhere. None of them are saints but we have no option but to live by them. Foreign exchange rules are too strict to be granted exception for a few developers/workers online and Law would take its own course as planned. Best way would be to go with our daily life, focus on things that were in pipeline and Postponing payments for a while. Taking things "One day at a time" without be the best way ahead in my opinion.

Well if its temporary then its fine but if they just pull out then it could become a serious issue

100% right. There can't be a problem for business operated on such a large scale to last for more than 10 days (and don't know how many more days it'll take). Mind you, reversal started from 1st Feb. but withdrawal were on hold since 25th Jan. as per what I have read from various places.

This is like holding a bunch of people on ransom. If personal payment option was there, it was used. And if it was misused, it must have been discontinued from specific date giving some sort of advance general notice. Even Paypal is in business.

Also, their suggested methods of payment after all this reversal chaos hadn't worked. This to me is a grand fiasco.

For all this, I will only put Paypal as the culprit!!!

    1. IF its about ppl cheating with personal payments, then PREMIER and BUSINESS Account Holders should not have been punished.

    2. If PERSONAL is having issues, then why SERVICE Payments were also cancelled. Stupid Paypal.

    3. If they have problem with RBI, then why are they reversing our client payments ? I dont think, there is any connection with RBI here. RBI only comes to action, when there is a PayPal to Bank Transfer. All here Paypal is doing is eating fellow millions of Indians' hard earned money in fees. Im sure, it would have summed around to millions of dollars already.

    4. IF they have an issue, then they should have warned the whole Indian Users Base first, before taking this f**king step .

I agree with you completely. Even if they needed to implement a change in their policy, it could have been done in more orderly fashion. There was no need to just wake up one fine day and start shooting left, right and center... and that too retrospectively, creating all the mess! :(

    I agree with your point 1, 2 and 4.

For point 3: This whole problem raised becoz of the questions raised by RBI to paypal on non-compliance of the Payments and Settlements Act. Also these guidelines were introduced by RBI way before Paypal sheerly missed to make changes to their operation. Had they (paypal) did it before we could have been doing our business without any problems.
