Who is making under $5 a day with Adsense?

ii) this is a suggestion, maybe you can aggressively promote the referral products when you have more traffic to test on. Might earn you more.

iii) I dunno if this is against your site's objective, but have you thought of selling some digital products on top of your existing free downloads?

iv) Build on your traffic and reputation.. and sell advertising spaces you might get more than Adsense this way.

Like most people.. you need tonnes of traffic!! Sort it out.

Yours is easy.

remove the tower ads on the right sidebar. Shift everything up. Remove all webmasters related ads.. Got nothing to do with cars... Stay focused!!! Most search engines like their sites to link to related sites, or get linked to by related sites, only these sites will flourish in the long term.

Middle main column, reduce the size of Top Stories, so that you can fit a 336 or a squarish ads block next to the top stories, "Other Headline News" put them in a horizontal lineup, just below the top stories and the ads.

ii) add a 468X60 adlinks just before the "NEWS" so that those adlinks will stay above the fold too.

Could you do something similar to "Top Stories"+336 ads ?? Would be nice. Or if you can, put an image (similar size to the ads) in one column and next to in the other column, add the Adsense block. Of cos, separate them with a vertical dotted greyish line.

http://puregreencars.com/news/Camry-vs-Accord-vs-Altima.html is a good example of what i like.. blend ads into contents. But could you triple AAA block so that the title is closer to the contents.. I can bet you, that if you remove that, it will double your CTR. Let me know... Update us on that one

No offence but dun you find your site a little too plain??? Plain = boring.
Plain = no sense of self worth which will leads to low credibility from visitors.

I dun know what all those contents are becos they are in german, hence i cannot comment on anything related to contents but hey, i m sure you can do better than that.

Some points to take note:

i) never use green as background again. It is not easy to read from.
ii) your site does not have a proper layout. it is just a plain piece of paper which you draw a few things here and there.. As a visitor, i lose orientation easily, you need to be the one giving your visitors the directions, what you want them to do. Navigation bar prominent. Contents fixed positions. Ads above the fold etc...

I suggest you read the entire thread and find some good references from people who found my advice beneficial and copy their style... pm them and ask them for the template. and chat to them about their finds..

Next, please if you care about making money, spend some time on improving your site layout/template.

To be honest, i find your site ok, except that i dun really like 3 column templates.. and i especially do not like to use tower ads, unless i have to.
They do work, but they are not the best...

If you read the entire thread you will find at least 30% of the people here that asked for a review owns this type of template.. and you can see my answers to them ..

But in terms of squarish or 336 ads, you did well..
If you can take away the middle column and narrow the width of the page, then i should think that your CTR will increase. My ideal width for pages is between 750-850px

Why do you want to put Adsense if you are selling your own products??
That is a dillema and contradicting move itself.

What is the 1 thing that you want your visitors to do??? figure that out..
Have you got adsense tracker?? see where traffic is coming from... before you do the backlinks... know who is your customers... what is your market like. SEO done on the wrong market will give you a different result, potentially determining your profit or loss...

I dun even want to give you adsense optimzation tips, go and think about your business model. Before you take the wrong step and get into deeper sh*t.

Could there be a possibility that you can change the background color to white? Keep things simple and you will be in for a surprise.. Simplicity today means professionalism. People are more and more used to white clean and neat background websites..

It is easier on the eyes too.. read the entire thread to get an insight..

Based on the current template,
i) http://www.cellphonenews.info/cheapest-camera-phones.php remove 468 and the box, add a 336 next to the short paragraph on top. IT will definitely increase your CTR.

ii) since you can put more than 1 ads, put another 2 squarish ads at the bottom.. more chances of hitting CTR. However my experiments shows that there are also chances that you will get lower paying ads. Hence now i normally use 2 Adsense Blocks on 1 page.

umm, because i am not selling the products for the next 2 yrs. the one who was suppose to sell it back out at the last min. and i had conscription to handle for the next 2 yrs, which really stopped me from doing the sales myself.

can't really delete my online store when i spent 3 weeks (10+ hrs every single day) configuring all the stuff, so i am leaving it as a products info page instead. i am going to concentrate on the 'articles' part of the website for the time being. in fact, i am considering removing the link to the online store, and upload back the old products page, minus the online store. the store will go back up once i finish my army commitments. i will follow your advice at that time i guess, which is really quite some time away.
